Shizuoka is Japan’s 2nd largest tea producing region, and we were fortunate enough to sample a wide variety of teas on our last trip there, from artisanally fermented and carbonated Awa Bancha to wild Zairai Sencha. We even got the chance to visit some remote tea fields in the mountains of the beautiful Shizuoka countryside.
