O5 RARE TEA BAR KYOTO

Nestled in the heart of Kyoto, O-FIVE RARE TEA BAR KYOTO is located in a 19th century traditional Kyo-machiya conveniently located only a 2 minute walk from Gojo Station. Part showcase, part office, part tasting room, it’s a hub for our operations in Japan as well as a haven for tea lovers.
Following in the footsteps of O5 Canada, but with a Japanese twist, we hope to share not only delicious tea with you, sourced directly from farmers we’ve met across Japan and around the world, but also the stories and experiences we’ve collected along the way.
O-FIVE RARE TEA BAR KYOTO is currently reservation only. After taking a look at the available slots on our calendar, you can request a reservation using the contact form below. We will get back to you with a confirmation as soon as possible.
Please keep in mind the following requirements and price schedule:
¥5,000 per person (¥5,500 including tax)
Booking party size - 1 to 4 people
Tasting length - 90 minutes
We ask for a ¥5,000 deposit per booking (we will send you a link by email). For refunds due to cancellation, we require at least 24 hours notice.
Because space in our Machiya is limited, boiling water is used in tea preparation, and there are many fragile items on display, we require that children be closely supervised by their parent/guardian. Any children 12 or older will be charged as one member of the party and included in the tea tasting.
As there are only 3 seats available at the bar, parties of 4 will be seated in our tatami room.
Tastings will consist of 5 curated teas including a matcha. We are happy to customize the selection based on your preferences!
